No, makes you a tomboy like Candi and Mindy (g). Actually, I stated it wrong in the post. It makes total sense that women would have a small close bundle of friends (I'm in that group, right, GG?). But women, I think, are more attuned to seek out a broad web of netorking friends, at least that's been my experience. The young ladies I worked with talked about it all the time. They even had sessions in their "women seminars" of how to do it. Never saw the young guys talking about it, or BSing about it. Maybe its a generation thing, but my sense is that "most" women are better at networking then "most" men.

By golly, I think you're getting the hang of this networking thing we women do so well. LOL. Welcome to the other side. In all fairness though, I sorta disaggree a bit with your opening though. I'm a bit like you. I have three best friends that I keep in touch with and tell my deepest secrets to. I have my buddies, a whole host of on-line friends that I feel connected to because of our common love for writing. And then I have acquaintances, folks I know, can carry on a conversation with but whom I probably wouldn't invite to my house for tea. I actually feel more comfortable with my solo accomplishments as well but I have no problem sharing the glory when I have to. Dunno, does that make me different than you in the way I handle friends or the same?
