As a decorated Army Ranger, Eric Emerson is honor bound to defend the helpless, and trained to survive against a ruthless enemy, yet these skills were useless to protect his family. Riddled with guilt, he’s torn between his combat experience and the rules governing society. The conflict shatters his marriage, his job, and his sanity, until she saves him from his demons. Together, they stumble upon the Osiris study, a secretive government report that predicts a direr future unless there are draconian sacrifices. Fallen Angel Reviews -

“… It is so well-written that I just got lost in each page. Eric is such a likeable and refreshing character that just reaches out and touches the heart. Sam is a strong leading lady in all her actions. I thought she was a great asset to the story. I could not help but feel the emotions that Eric faced  with Karen.  I can tell that Michael Davis did thorough research in composing this read. He instills mystery and a touch of romance into this delightful read that makes it a keeper of a hit. This is an absolutely wonderful tale with secrets galore, a bit of deception and a smidgen of romance that keeps the pages turning.”

New Book Reviews -

“… This is one hell of a good book! My highest recommendation! I give this book 5 Stars! This gripping story is fast paced and thoroughly enjoyable. Davis’ characters are as captivating as the story is interesting and exciting. I especially loved the huge dark twist, and love it when an author is sharp enough to keep me guessing until the very last page.”

My Book Craving -

“This book was fantastic. The dialogue is snappy…The flow was perfect. It grabbed me quickly and had me focused on it to the exclusion of everything else. I would gladly read anything else from this author..Read this book even thought at the end you might wonder about the state of the world…an extremely readable novel that will keep you interested until the very last word.  If I could give this more than a five I would.”

We Write Romance -

“This is definitely a must read. Mr. Davis has penned an engaging romantic thriller that keeps you wondering what will happen next (and how will the already tortured hero handle it). Then to add another layer, Mr. Davis utilizes his military knowledge to add another element of realism that this reviewer hasn’t seen in a long time. If you like a story with a mix of secrets, mystery and military men, and that’s a constant on the edge of your seat kind of read, this is your kind of book.”

Simply Romance Reviews -

Golden Enchantment by Candace Morehouse is an absolutely delightful story about a young woman returning to honor her father’s wishes and winding up in a rattlesnake’s nest of trouble. Historically accurate in most every detail, the story enraptures the reader from the moment you open the book until the last page is turned. A strong story line in addition to well-written and enticing erotic scenes make this one of the best Old West history pieces I’ve read in along time.

Grade A

Coffee Time Romance -

Ms. Morehouse has created an outstanding tale that takes you to the old west in New Mexico. With artist touch, this author described the area and time with vivid clarity. Interesting characters and an exceptional plot keeps this story moving at a steady pace. I loved how the author keeps you informed; yet could still surprise. Carefully woven all of this together then add the sensual romance scenes and you have the perfect historical romance, that we all know and love. A dynamite read.

Night Owl Romance -

“Forgotten Children jars the reader from thinking this is just another mystery, to an overt awareness that this type of activity could actually happen. With studied accuracy and precision, Mr. Davis lays down the plot in such a way that the reader descends deeply into this mesmerizing story. Forgotten Children is a difficult book to set aside, and even more difficult to forget. Just as Sara has her recurring dreams about the children, the reader will remember the theme of this potent story for days to come.”

Reviewers Top Pick, 5 of 5 rating

We Write Romance -

“Forgotten Children is a definite must-read. The plot is a complicated page-turner that keeps the book in your hand until the very last word is read. The reason? The exquisite writing style. As with his first book, Davis writes with a sense of knowledge and insight. You have the eerily peaceful setting, the well described characters with strongly felt emotions, and a true evil lurking in the background. And ultimately, you know that the one person who can help is going to be the heroine… I honestly believe that the two stories I’ve read by Davis are as good (possibly verging better in a romantics opinion) than those of some of today’s great fiction writers.”

4 of 4 stars

More Romance -

“Once again, Michael Davis weaves a story of intrigue, mystery, and suspense which keeps the reader guessing until the end. Complicated plot lines and good characterization are what define a Davis novel and these elements have been amply supplied in Forgotten Children. For a good read which will hold your interest until the last page and alternately makes you gasp, shed a tear, and cry out in indignation, Forgotten Children fits the bill.”

FULL THROTTLE by Candace Morehouse

fullthrottlePhoenix is hot but the bikers are even hotter and Samantha finds this out firsthand after partnering with her cousin to run Dr. Doug’s Mobile Dyno, a motorcycle testing and performance tuning business. Spurned by an ex-fiancée and resolved to taking care of her aging father and his medical problems, romance is the last thing Samantha’s looking for while expanding her new business is at the top of her priorities list.

Along comes opportunity in the form of Linc Montgomery, a tough, business-savvy, ex-Harley racer and new owner of Full Throttle Custom Cycles in Phoenix. Linc is used to having gorgeous women fall at his feet. When he meets Samantha and agrees to contract her dyno services, he quickly realizes she isn’t one of those brainless bimbos he normally dates before carelessly tossing aside.

The challenge is on for Linc as he sets out to seduce Samantha just to prove he can. He doesn’t plan on the interference of his ex-wife and her ex-fiancée – both of whom serve to make him realize that along the way, his seduction scheme causes him to fall head over heels in love. It isn’t so easy to convince Samantha she belongs to him.

Long & Short Romance Reviews

“With a full complement of strong secondary characters, Ms Morehouse steers her hero and heroine along the very rocky road to a HEA. But it is the situations, challenges, threats and dangers she puts in their way that grabs the readers’ attention. Both main characters represent people we meet everyday, people the reader can equate with. They are stong, they are flawed. They have lessons to learn.

For Harley Bike fans this book is a must. For the rest of us, the book stands on the strength of the characters and the the unusual environment. It’s a fantastic, entertaining read that I highly recommend.”
